How to Install Gorby as a Desktop App
Installing Gorby as a desktop app creates a convenient shortcut that opens the application in its own window, separate from your browser. Note that this is still a web-based application, just with a more native app-like experience.
- 1
Open Gorby
Visit Gorby by going to gorby.app/analyze/.
- 2
Install from Your Browser
The installation steps vary slightly depending on which browser you're using.
Chrome or Edge (Windows & macOS)
Look for the install icon () in the address bar and click it. The app will open in its own window and create a desktop shortcut.

If you're using Edge, the install icon looks like this:

Tip: We recommend using Microsoft Edge
Edge's installation dialog offers extra options to customize how you access Gorby — including pinning to your taskbar or Start menu, creating a desktop shortcut, and configuring auto-start on login.

Safari (macOS)
- Click the Share button in the toolbar
- Select "Add to Dock"
- Click "Add" in the confirmation dialog

Firefox
Firefox currently doesn't support Progressive Web Apps. Please use Chrome, Edge, or Safari to install Gorby as a desktop app.
That's it!
Gorby is now installed as a desktop app and ready to use. If you run into any issues during installation, reach out at contact@gorby.app.
