Understanding Repeated Words Detection
The Repeated Words feature automatically identifies instances where the same word appears twice in succession, which is typically a typing error. For example, in phrases like “He was was walking” or “The time time flew by,” the feature helps you spot and fix these common mistakes.
How It Works
The feature scans your text and:
- Detects words that appear twice in succession
- Highlights these duplicate words
- Allows quick removal of the repeated word with a single click
- Provides a summary of all repeated words found in your text
Word Detection and Correction
When you run the Repeated Words check, duplicate words are immediately underlined in your text. You can click on any highlighted word to remove the duplicate instance.
For a comprehensive view of all duplicates, use the “Show Results” button to open the results panel. This panel lists all repeated words found in your text and allows you to navigate between different instances. Each entry shows the number of times that particular word is repeated, making it easy to systematically review and correct all duplications.
Customization Options
In the settings panel, you can:
- Choose the underline color for highlighted repeated words
- Adjust the underline thickness to match your preferences
