August & September 2025 Product Update: Introducing Text Analysis Reports
We’ve been hard at work over the last month and a half, and we’re happy to release one of our most requested features. This update is focused on providing a holistic view of your writing, making it easier than ever to make data-driven editing decisions.
📊 New Feature: Text Analysis Reports
We’re excited to introduce the brand-new Reports feature: a comprehensive, all-in-one dashboard that consolidates every piece of data from across the app. Now you can get a complete overview of your text’s quality, readability, and structure in a single, powerful view.
The Reports feature brings together all of Gorby’s key analytics, including:
- Writing Quality Analysis: Get a summary of potential writing issues like passive voice, hard-to-read sentences, adverbs, clichés, and redundancies.
- Complete Readability Metrics: View a full breakdown of over 7+ readability formulas to understand the grade level and accessibility of your content.
- Keywords & Structure: Analyze your top keywords (1-word, 2-word, and 3-word phrases) and see a visual distribution of your sentence lengths.
Tailor Your Report Layout
We understand that every analysis is different, so we’ve made the reports fully customizable. You can instantly switch the entire dashboard between two distinct modes:
- Spaced View: A clean, card-based layout that’s easy to read.
- Compact View: A dense layout to see all your data for quick comparisons.
Within the Compact View, you can also toggle data-heavy modules like Readability Scores and Top Keywords between a detailed List format and a space-saving Grid format.
✨ Improved Text Checks and Highlights
Alongside the new Reports feature, we’ve also dedicated time to refining our existing tools. We have improved several checks within the Text Checks and Highlights feature, improving their accuracy.

Over the next month and a half, we plan to focus on:
- Improving the Text Tagging feature: We’ll be working on making our tagging system more robust and improving its interface.
- Support for Word Files: We’re exploring the possibility of adding an option to directly import and analyze Microsoft Word documents.
- Microsoft Word Add-in: We will begin the initial development of a Gorby Word Add-in to bring our text analysis tools directly into your writing workflow.
