July 2025 Product Update: New Visual Themes, Text-to-Speech, and Reports Feature Preview
We’re excited to share some updates that have been in development over the past few months. These new features bring customization options and improved functionality to help you get the most out of your writing analysis experience.
🎨 New Visual Themes for Write View
We’ve introduced five distinct visual themes to help you create the perfect writing environment. You can now customize your workspace by going to Settings → Visual and selecting your preferred “Stats Display Style”:
- Default
- Minimalist
- Writer’s Study
- Glass
- Academic
Each theme has been designed to improve your writing experience while maintaining full functionality of all Gorby’s features. Whether you prefer a minimalist approach or a more visually rich environment, there’s a theme that fits your style.
🔊 Text-to-Speech Functionality
We’re excited to introduce text-to-speech capabilities to help you experience your writing in a completely new way. This feature is perfect for:
- Preparing for presentations and talks
- Proofreading by listening to your text
- Accessibility and alternative ways to review content
- Checking the flow and rhythm of your writing
How It Works:
- Click the speaker icon next to “Estimated Speaking Time” to hear your entire text
- Select specific sentences, paragraphs, or text portions to hear just that selection
- Choose from available voices (selection depends on your browser)
- Adjust playback speed to match your preferences
- Use intuitive controls to start, pause, and manage playback
The text-to-speech feature uses your browser’s built-in speech synthesis, ensuring compatibility across different devices while maintaining our commitment to privacy and local processing.
📊 Coming Soon: Reports Feature
We’re currently developing an exciting new Reports feature that will provide analysis summary of your text. While still in development, we wanted to give you a preview of what’s coming.
What to Expect:
- Consolidated summaries from all analysis tools
- Statistics overview from the Write view
- Sentence length distribution analytics
- Readability scores compilation
The Reports feature will be available to all users, with certain advanced analytics reserved for premium subscribers. This will make it easier than ever to get a complete picture of your writing’s characteristics and areas for improvement.
