February 2025 Product Update: Windows Store App, Improved UI, and Readability Tools

February has been a productive month at Gorby, with significant improvements to our user interface, desktop app availability, and readability analysis tools. Here’s what’s new!

🪟 Gorby Now Available in Windows Store

We’re happy to announce that Gorby is now available in the Microsoft Store! This makes installing our desktop app easier than ever:

  • Simple one-click installation through the official Windows Store
  • Automatic updates managed through Windows Store
  • No need for browser-based installation methods

🧭 Redesigned Sidebar Interface

We’ve completely reworked our sidebar to make navigation more intuitive and visually appealing:

  • Improved account details access
  • Enhanced button display with animated hover effects
  • New utility button at the top for quick access to:
    • Desktop app installation
    • Homepage navigation
    • Support contact

These UI improvements make the app more responsive and enjoyable to use, while ensuring all the tools you need are just a click away.

📊 Improved Readability Scores Feature

We’ve begun a rework of our Readability Scores feature to make it more informative and intuitive to use:

  • Grade levels now displayed directly in the summary
  • Color-coding based on desired readability levels
  • Detailed information pages for each readability formula
  • Visual presentation of formulas and calculation methods

This update is still in progress, with more improvements coming soon. The enhanced readability scores make it easier than ever to ensure your content is appropriate for your target audience.
